Re: AbracaDABra - multiplatform SDR for RTL-SDR USB sticks
Switchin between 7D Niederbayern and 10A Oberbayern/Schwaben and the audio problem sometime happens.

and again the link to 7D

Temporary deactivating the serviclist when playing a file would be more userfriendly.
After testing a file always a new scan and searching for the favorite stations and save them ?

Re: AbracaDABra - multiplatform SDR for RTL-SDR USB sticks
Thanks for the recordings.
Concerning service list - I have always considered raw file input as a kind od debug stuff, mostly for my tests, not for normal user. That is why it is not user friendly because average user does not need it. It is also disabled in basic view for the same reason. Nevertheless I will think about more user friendly implementation for next updates.

Re: AbracaDABra - multiplatform SDR for RTL-SDR USB sticks
I have tested the recordings and I have not found any audio problem. I have tried to go through all the services and for all of them I got audio.

Re: AbracaDABra - multiplatform SDR for RTL-SDR USB sticks
Would it be possible to use an alternative ini file via the command line?
Re: AbracaDABra - multiplatform SDR for RTL-SDR USB sticks
This should not be a big problem to implement. I will check that.

Feature implemented, available in GitHub repository, you can try if you want. Use "--ini"command line option for force some ini file. Warning: app will also store the configuration to this file on exit.

Re: AbracaDABra - multiplatform SDR for RTL-SDR USB sticks
SoapySDR support has been added in GitHub repository. It would be very appreciated if you can test it with various HW supported by SoapySDR and if you report any bugs and problems. I have only RTL-SDR and Airspy Mini that seem to work as expected but these have only limited possibilities.

Re: AbracaDABra - multiplatform SDR for RTL-SDR USB sticks
Stupid question: Does this software run with Noxon DAB Stick (RTL2832 chip) like Andi's DAB Player? If yes, is there any driver or additional software needed (for MacOS)?
Re: AbracaDABra - multiplatform SDR for RTL-SDR USB sticks
Yes, it should run on all RTL2832 sticks. AbracaDABra uses open source rtl-sdr driver, for MacOS specifically, you only need to install dmg file (current version here https://github.com/KejPi/AbracaDABra/releases/tag/v1.2) and it should run fine. Please report any issues.

You don't need drivers on MacOS. It works very well without.fn1107 hat geschrieben: ↑Di 3. Jan 2023, 17:22 Stupid question: Does this software run with Noxon DAB Stick (RTL2832 chip) like Andi's DAB Player? If yes, is there any driver or additional software needed (for MacOS)?
Re: AbracaDABra - multiplatform SDR for RTL-SDR USB sticks
Just for my curiosity - do you use Intel or Apple Silicon version? I am asking because I have no possibility to test Intel version.SeltenerBesucher hat geschrieben: ↑Di 3. Jan 2023, 22:49 You don't need drivers on MacOS. It works very well without.

Re: AbracaDABra - multiplatform SDR for RTL-SDR USB sticks
I tried it with the Intel version. You will be asked which connection you want to establish and I have - I think - selected TCP.
Re: AbracaDABra - multiplatform SDR for RTL-SDR USB sticks
Thanks, I am glad that Apple Intel version works

Re: AbracaDABra - multiplatform SDR for RTL-SDR USB sticks
I tried to run both versions with an Apple M2 chip. The AppleSilicon version does not start, MacOS shows the following error:
"AbracaDABra" is damaged and can't be opened. You should move it to the Bin.
The Intel version starts but seemed to have problems connecting to the device. That's why I asked yesterday. Now the device is connecting and everything is running fine.
Still I think I should be able to use the AppleSilicon version.
