Ja so wie ich das sehe sind das keine reinen AAC-LC Streams sondern HLS.
Welche Player können das eigentlich auser den RadioMaster sonst noch?
Selbst beim VLC Player klappt das nicht.

Warum macht die ARD nicht normales AAC-LC. Die ARD ist immer so umständlich da sind die Privatsender schon freundlicher.

Auf dem Smartphone geht es mit nahezu jedem Player wie etwas VRadio. Auch das abspielen direkt im Browser (Chrome) klappt problemlos. Auf dem PC geht's mit dem Browser und dem SMPlayer. WLAN Radios kannst du fast vergessen. Da ist es eher Glückssache ob die mit HLS klar kommen.

HLS Streams sind halt in erster Linie für mobile Anwendungen gedacht und für Otto Normal User der nur was anklicken und dann hören will. Ich kann zwar den Gedanken dahinter verstehen aber ein Freund von HLS bin ich trotzdem nicht.

Ich bin auch kein Freund von HLS ich finde die ARD sollte das lassen und lieber normles AAC LC machen.
Kann der VLC Player generell kein HLS? Sonst frist der doch jedes Format.

Für den PC kann ich übrigens den RadioMaster von AKP Software empfehlen:

Hier muss allerdings erst eine Senderliste erstellt werden, denn die Senderliste die mitgeliefert wird muss total veraltet sein. Immerhin kann der RadioMaster HLS.

HLS ist auf dem PC eigentlich kein größeres Problem. Der VLC Player ist in den letzten Versionen auch immer "spezieller" geworden.

Kann der VLC Player generell kein HLS? Sonst frist der doch jedes Format.

Klar kann er HLS, ich hab alle geposteten Streams im VLC Player (v3.0.21) getestet. Ich nutze HLS-Streams, vorallem Video-Streams, fast täglich im VLC.

Eine Regio "Vogtland" gibt es soweit ich weiß nicht. Weder auf UKW, noch DAB+, selbst in der ARD-Audiothek steht die nicht zur Auswahl. Handelt es sich hier vielleicht um die Version "MDR Sachsen Extra", die auch über DAB+ läuft? Wobei, auch die Extra-Version ist in der Audiothek nicht gelistet.

Keinerlei Infos zu Titelinformation und dazu noch inkompatibel mit sehr vielen Gerätschaften.
Ja nicht mal jeder Player am PC kommt damit klar.
Bekomme jedenfalls im VLC Player keinen einzigen dieser Streams zum laufen.

Da würde ich nicht pauschal mitgehen. Es kommt sehr auf die Perspektive an. Aus der Sicht des stationären Empfangs mit stabiler Internetverbindung: Ja.
Aus der Perspektive eines Mobilnutzers mit schwankendem Internet ist es aber ein klarer Gewinn. (Zur Erinnerung: Vor HLS hatten wir ein kuddelmuddel an Audio/Video Übertragungsstandards und Codecs: Flash, RealMedia, Windows Media, QuickTime, NullsoftVideo etc pp.)

Man kann ja mal Statistiken ansehen ob mehr Stationäre oder Mobilgeräte am Netz sind und dann Schlüsse daraus ziehen welche Zielgruppe wohl primär bedient wird.
Spoiler: "Rund 60–70 % der Webseitenzugriffe erfolgen mobil, Desktop-Nutzung liegt bei 25–35 %, Tablets bei 3–5 %."

Ja nicht mal jeder Player am PC kommt damit klar.

Mal davon ab das der VLC schon lange eine Zicke (wenig Fehlertolerant) ist, sind die HLS Streams ursprünglich auch gar nicht für Player am PC vorgesehen. (Genau genommen ist es nicht mal ein richtiger Webstandard sondern nur ein informeller Entwurf (RFC 8216) der Firma Apple.) Ich würde dir übrigens dazu raten dem SMplayer mal eine Chance zu geben.

Auch das ist wieder auf die Zielgruppe zurückzuführen. Apps und Webseiten haben simplere Möglichkeiten diese Infos zu übertragen/anzuzeigen. Technisch möglich ist es jedenfalls auch bei HLS, es machen sich halt sehr wenige Betreiber den Mehraufwand der am Ende nur für wenige Hörer relevant ist. Es könnte zudem auch sein das es auch hier an der Standardisierung hapert. Wie gesagt, ursprünglich ist HLS für Video gedacht gewesen, nicht für Audio, es geht halt zufällig auch und setzt sich immer weiter durch.
