Here is a video of Aircraft Scatter of RNE 5 in Liérganes/Pico Llen (872 km) at 0608 this morning. AirScout software shows the reflecting aircraft. The signal is weak but can be heard.

Dear Mike,
is it a very long distance for an aircraft scatter?
I'm not really experienced with this kind of reception, but know it from FM Dxing. Very rarely I received stations from 500 or 600 km's away via aircraft scatters.

Hi ingo,
I believe that aircraft scatter is possible up to 800/900 km at VHF depending on track and size of the reflecting aircraft. My reception at 872 km must be almost at the distance limit.
Best wishes
Mike
