Hi All,

I hope you have had a great Christmas and wish you all a fantastic 2022.

I have been made very welcome in this forum and I'd like to thank you all for that. However, I think it is is time for me to move on and stop posting logs here as I'm not in mainland Europe ( and not in the EU any longer sadly) and I think the forum was probably started to cater for those DXers on the mainland and maybe my input is not really very relevant for the rest of you.

I will continue to post my logs in various mailing lists and I hope to continue to be a member here so that I can enjoy reading your logs.

I wish you all lots of DX in the future.

Thanks for your postings during the last years. I understand your decision.
Nevertheless: if you experience outstanding reception conditions (eg. Untersberg in the UK) I think everyone would be glad to read at least a short note about this here!

I am British myself and don't think that I am banned from contributing to this forum just because of Brexit.

Looking at the recent Shropshire by election, I don't think Johnson will last very long anyway as he is full of lies. Also, how long have we heard about "levelling up" and "the Northern Powerhouse" but seen project after project scrapped?

The current Conservatives are also very far from conservative ideals, - under Johnson they are economically isolationist and not part of any form of "Global Britain". Brexit only ruins the economy and the UK will be worse of in the long run, especially if access to the single market is disrupted. Makes more sense to vote for your Labour or Lib Dem MP in the next election.

I personally would find it a shame if you left this forum.
You're practically the only one who posts something here almost every day between the Sporadic-E season. These messages in particular keep the forum alive.
I hope you will reconsider your decision and stay with us.
