Hello all,
I have implemented support for translation in AbracaDABra and now I am looking for volunteers to do the actual translation. To do so, you do not need to be programmer, you only need Qt Linguist application, time and patience. There is almost 700 strings to translate - I did it for Czech and it took me about a week to complete.

You you want to help, please let me know in private message, I will coordinate this activity to avoid double work.

I already did it for Qt-DAB and could find to translate also AbracaDABra.

Ich hab gerade mal drübergeschaut.

Ganz Allgemein und nur meine Meinung: "Deutsch" in solchen technischen Programmen klingt schon ganz schön "gestelzt" und immer etwas nach Bedienungsanleitung aus China (Beispiel: "Auswählen, um das Fenster in den Vordergrund zu bringen, wenn (Test)Alarmdurchsage startet" oder "Vom Subkanal verwendete erste Kapazitätseinheit") und stiftet mehr Verwirrung als es wert ist.

Ich persönlich würde immer die englische Version bevorzugen.

Ich habe bewusst nicht-denglische Wörter genommen.

Du darfst das ruhig auch übersetzen. Ich habe kein Monopol auf die deutsche Übersetzung.

The actual dmg file for Intel macs can be used for Mac OS 15.7(Catalina). thank you The Program works well.
No problem with German characters

Updated German translation from andimik is in repository.
I have the same feeling about translation to Czech I did - it simply does not seem to be right for such application. I am trying to implement user switch for selecting application language but it will take some time.
Currently MacOS Catalina is the oldest supported, In theory I can make the application compatible with Mojave but I need anyone to test it.

AbracaDABra v1.99.5 has been released

Changes:

Support for application translation added
DE, PL, CZ translation is complete, volunteers for other languages welcome
Application uses system language by default (or EN if translation in system language is not available), user can set language in settings
MacOS 10.14 Mojave supported by Intel DMG
Several small fixes and improvements
Ready for 2.0 release

Yesterday I used the AbracaDABra Player for the first time.

I noticed that this is less sensitive when receiving multiplexes
than Andi's DAB player with the driver from package 2.

I use the RTL-SDR V3 as a REALTEK 2832U device.

With AbracaDABra, some weak multiplexes (S/N just over 6..7dB)
were not received, with which Andi's player had no problems.

Could you please share recordings? I did comparison to DAB Player many times and always concluded to be comparable. It would be great if you could record the raw file from DAB Player and then from AbracaDABra to have some comparison. If you have it, could you please check if AbracaDABra plays the file from DAB Player or if it still has reception problems. It is possible that Realtek driver gives better HW performance but I truly believe that on the same raw data AbracaDABra performance is comparable.

AbracaDABra didn´t recieve channel 7C or 9A and didn´t playback these recorded RAW files from Andi´s player. Playback with Andi´s player works.

Check S/N with samples from Channel 8C. S/N difference between Andi´s player and yours 1 dB.

Not a good idea, as Andis Player will reduce the DC Spike in the middle of the spectrum. Better to record with other tools (Qirx, Qt-DAB). Then you can compare the behavior in each tool on the same file.

Are you sure? I can't imagine that. It makes absolute no sense to do this only for writing the incoming IQ-Samples to disk. They will normally written "as is". It's not the question that the DC-Bins will be set to zero during the workflow. But why should Andy do additional IFFTs and float to char conversations all the time only for IQ-recordings? Next time one plays such a file, the Spikes will removed anyway.
