I have a problem running DABplayer with an Airspy.

I have downloaded airspylface64 from the mainpage and ofcourse the latest DAB_player release.

I have copied the contents of airspylface64 in to DAB_player folder just in case,

Then i start AirspyIface.exe, i get a window which tells me the listener is running on 127.0.0.1:1234

Then i start DAB_player in a dos box like this:

C:\Users\username\Desktop\DAB_Player\DAB_Player.exe -RtlTcp

But it keeps telling me... "CHECK if the DAB stick with RTL chipset is connected" (translated from dutch)

I don't get it, what am i doing wrong here?

You might need to install one of the Realtek drivers, even when just using the RtlTcp interface.

Yes weird, but that seemed to be the solution, thank you!

Yes, the Realtek drivers always need to be installed, because the installer also installs some required DLLs.

Best regards,

Hallo Andi,

Please forgive my lack of Deutsch.
I love your DAB player. I've used it for a long time and am now using v1.0.2.160.

I have ignored one small problem for a long time and thought I should mention it in case I can also help find the problem, in the hope that it can be fixed: My problem is that DAB radio audio regularly (about every hour) makes a short squeak before going completely silent. If I'm listening to a news channel, it always seems to coincide with the start of the hour. I wonder if there's some signal/meta-data/text that is transmitted which causes the player some decoding problems or something like a buffer overflow.

Is there anything I can provide that can help locate the problem?

Vielen Dank!

Dan

Is the ensemble using a re-configuration of the content (adding subchannels, 2nd service or so)? Which ensemble are you listening to?

RTKDAB.dll: 1.1.714.2011 (C:\Windows\SysWOW64\RTKDAB.dll)
RTKDABSOURCE.dll: 0.1.831.2011 (C:\Windows\SysWOW64\RTKDABSOURCE.dll)
Rtl283xAccessWrap.dll: 1.0.0.3 (C:\TRANSFERE\_Noxon\DAB-Player\Rtl283xAccessWrap.dll)
RTL283XACCESS.dll: 1.1.612.2009 (C:\Windows\SysWOW64\RTL283XACCESS.dll)
ffdshow.ax: 1.3.0.0 (C:\TRANSFERE\_Noxon\DAB-Player\ffdshow.ax)
ff_libfaad2.dll: 2.7.0.0 (C:\TRANSFERE\_Noxon\DAB-Player\ff_libfaad2.dll)
