I have just confirmed the problem is not Mate. Linux Mint Mate version in VirtualBox has no problem to display fonts in TII dialog map correctly.

Guten Morgen, nun kann ich den Fehler der nicht vorhandenen Schrift im TII Decoder auf dem Laptop 100% eingrenzen. Irgendwie habe ich durch gefummel an der Schriftart heute früh kurzfristig wieder Schrift gehabt. Allerdings ist das nur von kurzer Dauer gewesen da sich das System wieder verstellt. Ich denke damit hat sich das Problem jedenfalls auf meiner Hardware gelöst. Was ich machen werde die Schriftart vom System wo die Software läuft einstellen auf dem Laptop. Verstellt das Ding sich wieder mache ich in einem anderen Forum ein Support Thema auf.

Nachdem ich nun endlich auch diese Software auf dem Laptop nutzen kann, habe ich dennoch einige Fragen. Wie ist das mit den TII Openstreet Karten gelöst? Muss der PC immer eine Internet Verbindung haben? Heute Morgen wo Tropo war konnte ich das gut beobachten. Berlin wurde zwar an gezeigt allerdings war die Karte weiß. Nun fand ich heraus das es für Linux direkt Kartenmaterial gibt, wo genau das Projekt Openstreet arbeiten tut. Wäre ein Vorteil da man nicht ständig im Internet hängt. Vielen Dank nochmals. Übrigens liegt bzw. war der Fehler mit Sicherheit, Ubuntu und Co. Jetzt mit Debian 12 funktioniert alles da wirklich nur die Software installiert ( Mini ISO für die Netzinstallationen) wurde die benötigt wird.

OSM maps are downloaded from internet but some cache is used internally so if the tiles are already downloded in cache they should be shown in case that internet connection is not available.

Idea (don't know if that is the culprit): could you add the baud rate 9600, because default is 4800? I can't compile it due to missing Qt version requirements.

I have changed it to 4800 in device manager, but when I am Using Qirx, it will be still use 9600,None,8,One on the COM port.

Update: I also tried under one Ubuntu laptop to force /dev/ttyACM1 (don't know why it was not 0) to 4800 bauds and chmod it for all users.

I will add baudrate as parameter. Unfortunately I cannot test it because I do not have HW so I rely on users to test it. Someone already confirmed it was working.

I was looking for some solution with phone when I was adding the feature and did not find any that would act like NMEA serial port.
